Three Drawer Console, Natural Elm
Shanxi, circa 1900
Once lacquered, this elm wood console table has been stripped back to the colour of the pale wood. It originates from Shanxi in central China and still has its old drawer handles. The wood has a lovely grain and character, and the table's narrow proportions would make it ideal as a console in most modern spaces. The table has an extended top surface and some detailing on the apron but is otherwise quite simple in style.
