Distressed Green Grain Cabinet
Gansu, circa 1900
This mid sized sideboard is finished in a distressed green lacquer but still shows remnants of the original colours below this layer. The doors have a wonderful carved framework and the interior houses a single removable shelf. Originally used to store grain in the western Chinese province of Gansu, the doors have been added using the original fixed front panels and the top sealed. Ideal now for storage in any bedroom, living or dining room.
