Armoire in Natural Finish
Beijing, circa 1880
This lovely armoire is made from elm and has been completely stripped back to show the beautiful natural wood, giving the piece a fresh, modern look. The bottom apron is elaborately carved and depicts a pair of dragons. Ideal for bedroom storage, the interior houses a fixed shelf with two shallow drawers and a removable shelf to make access to the lower, partially hidden section that would have once been used to store the more valuable possessions of the owner.
