Its rich red frontage is decorated with finely painted arrangements of flowers, birds, vases and decorative vessels in warm gold and darker tones. The paintings remain beautifully legible in places, contrasting with the heavily worn, crackled surface below the doors. Panelled sides reveal more of the warm wood beneath the dark finish, adding to the cabinet’s striking character.

Two central doors sit within a broad frame, fitted with circular metal hinges and a large round backplate with ring handles. A slightly overhanging top and short, straight feet complete the substantial design. Inside, a single shelf divides the cupboard space, offering generous storage for crockery, bottles and glasses or other household items.

A beautiful statement piece for a living room, bedroom or dining room, the cabinet’s scale and detailed paintings give it a strong presence. Its deep red colour and richly textured surface would bring warmth to a neutral interior or complement darker walls and natural wooden floors.

NB.
