The surface is rubbed through in places to reveal darker tones and the warm wood beneath, with the grain clearly visible across the drawer fronts. This variation gives the table a lovely texture and character, complementing its otherwise restrained appearance.

Two drawers sit neatly beneath the top, each fitted with a metal drop handle on a round backplate. Recessed side panels and legs ending in subtly shaped 'horse hoof' feet add quiet detail to the clean frame. It would make an attractive console in a hallway, with the drawers providing useful storage for keys and other small items, or work equally well behind a sofa or against a living room wall, topped with a lamp, ceramics or a vase of flowers.
