Traces of red, green and dark detailing remain visible, with a decorative border framing the central design on the top. Much of the painting has softened with age and use, allowing the grain of the wood to show through and giving the surface a wonderfully layered character.

Three drawers run across the front, each fitted with a simple metal drop handle on a round backplate. The broad, framed top sits above a recessed waist, with moulded rails and short, straight legs completing the substantial design. Its low proportions make it a lovely coffee table for a living room, with useful drawer storage for remote controls and other small items. The warm colours and weathered decoration would sit beautifully alongside more neutral upholstery, bringing texture and antique character to the room.
