The newly applied finish is distressed to complement the old timber, with darker markings and warm wood showing through around the edges. Pale painted panels provide a lovely contrast, decorated with flowers and foliage in shades of green, pink and red.

Originally, only the two central doors would have opened, with fixed panels on either side. These outer panels have recently been adapted into doors, preserving their floral decoration while providing easier access to the cupboard space. A single shelf divides the interior, while three drawers below offer storage for smaller items. The drawer fronts carry further worn paintings, including a landscape across the wider central drawer, and small metal drop handles complete the frontage.

With its broad top and generous storage, this would make a beautiful addition to a dining room or living room. The vivid blue brings a fresh feel to the antique design, while the softly aged paintings add warmth and detail.
