The colour has a lovely turquoise tone, with darker markings and areas of exposed timber adding depth and texture across the surface. Its simple panelled doors contrast with the gently scrolling carved apron, giving the piece a pleasing balance of plain lines and decorative detail.

Two pairs of doors are fitted with metal drop handles on round backplates - a more recent replacement for the originals, opening to reveal two separate cupboards, each divided by a single shelf. The broad top extends slightly beyond the frame, while panelled sides and sturdy legs complete the substantial design. Offering plenty of useful storage, it would make a lovely sideboard for crockery and table linen in a dining room, or an attractive storage cabinet in a living room. The blue finish would bring a welcome splash of colour, with space on top for lamps, ceramics or favourite photographs.
