Large Red and Gold Armoire with Curios

This fine antique cabinet dates from around 1880 and was made in northern China. It is finished in a rich, deep red lacquer that has aged beautifully over time, with the soft sheen and natural wear characteristic of authentic antique Chinese furniture. The front is decorated with a series of painted vessels and ritual bronzes, arranged in careful symmetry across the doors.

These bronze vases, censers, and urns are traditional symbols of scholarship, refinement, and cultural learning in Chinese art.
