We have added several beautiful new pieces to our range of classical Chinese furniture for 2007. These pieces are now available to view and order on our website, and include carved console and side tables, book cabinets, chests of drawers, wall mirrors and much more.
Highlights among the new pieces include our beautiful Ming Carved Bed, which includes a hand carved headboard based on a design dating from the Ming dynasty. The same design is repeated at the base of our new Carved Console Table and Side Table. Equally as stunning is our Qing Dining Table - wonderfully carved and available to order in the size and colour that you require.
Our beautiful new Wall Mirrors are finished in our standard warm elm, light elm and black lacquer finish, but also come in a decorated version - finished in black or red lacquer, gilded and painted to match our Shanxi cabinets. Both the solid wood frames and the glass are bevelled, and these mirrors will look wonderful above our sideboards or console tables.
As is all of the furniture in our classical range, the new pieces are based on or inspired by designs from China's past, but often give a contemporary twist to make them more practical for modern day use. Our Low Kang Chest - perfect as a TV stand, is a good example of a more contemporary piece of furniture that still shows a distinctive oriental style.
