This type of Chinese chair takes its name from its yoke shaped top rail, and is commonly found in pictorial records from as far back as the Ming Dynasty. Its S-shaped curved backrest contrasts beautifully with the backward bending side stiles, while slightly splayed legs give it a solid appearance. It includes a carved Chinese dragon motif on the backrest, and a rattan inlaid seat for extra comfort. Made of reclaimed elm, these chairs work perfectly with our Ming Dining Table.
Part of our Classical Chinese furniture range, handcrafted from reclaimed elm wood and available in a choice of warm elm, light elm or black lacquer. Other finishes and sizes can be made to order. Love this item? Add it to mydeco.
