This simple table takes its inspiration from the Chinese 'ta' dabyed - a basic wooden bed that was used for seating in the day and for sleeping at night. Our smaller, square version includes a rattan inlay in the top panel, sanded down to give a smooth finish. The horse hoof shaped feet and 'waisted' top are typical features of Chinese furniture from the Ming period. Made of reclaimed elm, it makes a very elegant side table or coffee table.
Part of our Classical Chinese furniture range, handcrafted from reclaimed elm wood and available in a choice of warm elm, light elm or black lacquer. Other finishes and sizes can be made to order. Love this item? Add it to mydeco.
