This piece is typical of the Chinese end cabinets produced particularly in northern China since the Ming Dynasty. The simple, ‘square cornered’ style and proportions give it a solid, sturdy look and its size makes it highly versatile. Use one as a small sideboard or use a pair as bedside cabinets or either side of a fireplace. Two doors and two drawers provide plenty of storage space and the heavy brass hardware adds its distinctive oriental style. There is one removable shelf inside.
