Low chests and cabinets were commonly used by the Chinese from early on in the country's history, particularly in the colder northern regions, where they would be placed on the heated 'kang' platform and used for everyday storage. This more contemporary oriental design is ideal to hold televisions and other entertainment units. Rather than being a reproduction of an older Chinese design, this is more a case of modern furniture with Chinese characteristics. The four small drawers and larger drawer at the bottom are perfect for holding CDs or DVDs, while the shelf has a hole behind for feeding through wires.
Part of our Classical Chinese furniture range, handcrafted from reclaimed elm wood and available in a choice of warm elm, light elm or black lacquer. Other finishes and sizes can be made to order. Love this item? Add it to mydeco.
