These wonderful Chinese bronzes are reproductions of pieces that were used for ritual ceremonies in China from as long as three thousand years ago. Bronzes were used in the offering of wine and food to ancestors, and would often bear inscriptions in ancient characters. Our bronzes have been aged to give the rich blue-green colour of similar genuine antiques, and each one is inlaid with silver to show characters, figures or decarative patterns. These particular bronzes are reproductions of vessels known as 'hu' - pear-shaped with two handles. The inlay and decorative elements of each one vary slightly and may differ from the example shown here.
