Qinghai, circa 1850This brightly decorated table was once used for display in a temple in Qinghai province in western China. The decoration includes two swans at the top, and flowers below. Two drawers and a cabinet space is accessed through each side of the table, making this an extremely unusual display table with plenty of storage inside. This particular table is quite rare, not only because tables like this are now quite difficult to find in China, but also because of its excellent condition. The paintings are entirely original, without any retouching.
