We aim to offer a wide range of classical Asian furniture and antiques which are available to buy online or from our Yorkshire showroom. Our range of classical furniture is based upon the simple, pure styles found in China’s golden age, the Ming Dynasty, and designed to be practical and beautiful. Ideal for use in contemporary homes, our classical furniture collections include tables, chairs, storage furniture, bedroom furniture, chests of drawers and much more.
Our range of Chinese antique furniture is exclusive to us and each piece is individually selected from the very finest available; chosen for its form, beauty and suitability for use in a contemporary home. We work closely with trusted suppliers who are based in Beijing and Shanghai who supply us with an ever-changing stock of unique items. In addition, we are also happy to source individual pieces on request. Every item in our antique range is lovingly restored by craftsmen in Shanghai who use traditional skills and techniques to return them to their original beauty. How our Asian furniture is made
As far as possible, our classical Chinese furniture is made from reclaimed timber - mostly elm wood, known as ‘Northern Elm’ - which has been sourced from the northern provinces of China. This type of wood has been used to make furniture for hundreds of years and although it is technically a hardwood by Western standards, the Chinese classify it as a softwood as its porous properties allow it to hold coloured lacquer. In addition, poplar - a similar wood to elm - and pine are also used in our other collections of reproduction furniture.
Chinese wood joinery has evolved to include complex construction techniques and every piece of furniture in our classical range has been handcrafted using traditional techniques which have been passed down through generations. As a result, choosing Asian furniture from our classical range is the perfect way to add a touch of beauty, quality and style to your home.

Customer service and flexibility are incredibly important to us and as such we’re always happy to discuss alternative colours or finishes for any of the pieces in our classical range. In addition, we are also able to provide a bespoke service, designed to give you the option to order unique individual items not available in our current range.
We’re not happy unless you are and if you’re not 100% satisfied with your new furniture, our returns policy is designed to provide complete peace of mind. We also offer a 14 day cooling off period so if you change your mind during this time, we’ll arrange for the item to be returned to us at our expense.
